Dubai Announces 5-Year Multiple Entry Visas for Indians

by

Dubai has launched a new five-year multiple-entry visa aimed at easing travel for Indians.

To initiate the visa application process, individuals are required to furnish a personal photograph, a passport copy valid for a minimum of six months, six months’ worth of bank statements, proof of health insurance, and evidence of a round-trip ticket.

Visa applicants have the option to apply through digital platforms like the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai website or smart application, or by physically visiting Customer Happiness Centers or AMER Service centers.

Upon receiving and accepting the visa service request, the multiple-entry visa visa will be processed within two to five working days and permit stays of up to 90 days, extendable once for another 90 days, with a maximum total stay of 180 days within a year.

The multiple entry visa will be valid for a period of five years from the date of issuance, without requiring a sponsor/host within the country, after paying the necessary fees and making the security deposit.

In 2023, Dubai saw a surge in overnight visitors from India, with 2.46 million tourists recorded between January and December, as reported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). This figure represents a notable rise from the 1.84 million visitors in 2022 and exceeds the pre-pandemic count of 1.97 million visitors in 2019.

Dubai authorities are keen to facilitate multiple entries and exits for global travelers, including Indians, which will boost business engagements and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and leisure travel.
